This is a notebook which you can keep in your car or just keep yourself, it is still in the plastic never been removed. It has an elastic black strip around it which can be used to hold pages when you start to write in it. I believe it is meant to be a journal and is authentic with the Ferrari logo on the front. Makes a great gift. Paper appears to be lined
