Country music singer Ferlin Husky (1925-2011) had a big crossover hit, "Gone," in 1957, and his biggest hit ever, "On the Wings of a Dove" in 1960. In the 1950s, Husky also used the name Terry Preston while working as a DJ, and later introduced a third name, Simon Crum, used mostly for humorous and novelty songs.
