Fenton Amberina Glass Slipper Daisy & Button with Cat Head Design. Pre-1970

This Fenton* Amberina glass slipper is a collectible piece of vintage glassware. Features of the Slipper: Amberina Color: The slipper exhibits the characteristic red-to-amber shading of Amberina glass. This color effect is achieved by adding gold to the glass mixture and then reheating and cooling it. Daisy and Button Pattern: The slipper is decorated with a "Daisy and Button" pattern, which is a popular Fenton design. This pattern features raised bumps (buttons) and stylized flowers (daisies) covering the surface of the glass. This piece also sports a "cat head" at the top of the slipper. Fenton is a renowned glassware company founded in 1905, and a well-known manufacturer of vintage glass slippers. These slippers were initially given as gifts to young women coming of age.
