Nothing can approach the glamour and romance of a 1940s rayon dress. This one is a stunningly well designed and well preserved example. Intricate cord work, 3D beading and luminous sequins festoon the upper bodice and shoulders, and there is draping and a hip swag at the left hip to give you a tiny waist and stunning silhouette.
Small shoulder pads help give you a strong silhouette and make your waist look itty bitty.
Absolutely unforgettable! Side zipper with hook and eyes to conceal the zipper, and a hook and eye at the back neck. Hits mid calf on me (I’m 5’4”). Best for someone 5’0”-5”5”, since it was designed for a petite person.
Condition: structurally sound. No fading, discolorations, rips or tears. One small snag at the side skirt, very close to the side seam. This is only noticeable on close inspection. Also, there are a few spots in the sequin designs where threads are loose. I suggest giving the whole dress a once over before you wear it, to avoid any sequin loss. I thought about making the repairs myself, but my sewing skills aren’t that great and I didn’t want to make anything worse.

Is that waist really a 26” - very tiny - let me know! Thank you

@samstone16 yes, it’s 26”. The fabric has a bit of stretch, though, so it probably stretches to 27”. You could also let out the sides of the dress
