Family Album Johnstown NY 19th Century Cabinet Cards Carte-de-Visite Tintype

Antique Cabinet Card Album Johnstown NY, Carte-de-Visite Tintypes 19th Century. This is an antique album, patented in 1894. The wood frame was originally covered in what appears to be a tiger stripe velvet, much of which has worn away. Decorative pieces, including the frame of a heart-shaped mirror on th ed front cover and the intricate clasp appear to be brass. There is a kickstand of sorts on the back that allows the album to be displayed on a table or shelf. The album contains 48 total photos. These include tintypes, carte-de-viste, and cabinet cards. The paper parts of the album itself where photos are inserted are very fragile and many are torn. I did not pull all the photos out to look for writing, etc to avoid further damage.  This appears to be a family photo album from a prominent family in Jamestown, NY.  Of the cards I did look at, the majority are by various photographers in Johnstown, NY. I also saw Fort Plain, NY, and New York, NY. The album is 12.25" long and 8.25" wide.
