Fading denim shorts mid-rise destressed

It is a pair of forever 21 shorts which was purchased 6 months ago. The waist did not fit me well so I sewed it. The original waist size was 29 and it is now at 28, you can still rip off the threads if you want a bigger waist size. Only wore it 4 times because the color did not fit with my skin tone. Washed twice, still in great condition, just like new.
