Length is measured along side seam from waistband to bottom of leg. Waist is measured across the front of the waistband, from seam to seam. Hips are measured across the front from seam to seam. The back of the hips may include extra fabric and shaping to accommodate some, but perhaps not all backsides. Inseams are measured along the inner leg seam from crotch to bottom hem. Rise is measured along the center seam from waistband to crotch, and may include a front and back length depending on the seams.
