josephine052270 A few more hints that it also seemed to really help me aside from following people. I share my entire closet to my followers, at least once a day. I also participate in every posh party I can and I share my entire closet there as well, ALWAYS toward the end of the party, as this puts my listings at the top of people’s’ feeds and they’re more likely to be seen.

josephine052270 Another hint, as I mentioned earlier... I’m always active AT LEAST once a day, usually just for a few minutes. I share other people’s listings that are similar to sizes and styles in my own closet to my followers. This usually inspires THOSE sellers to share some of MY listings to their followers, increasing MY visibility. Just some hints and ideas to help you out. Much Posh love to all of you!!!❤️❤️❤️

josephine052270 Helpful hint #52 lol…Most Poshers don’t realize that once you share items to a Posh party,your item only gets shared ONE time. If you try to share multiple times,your shares will just default to your followers feeds.Thats why I wait til the last few minutes of the party to share.Your items are more likely to appear at the top of the feed & potential new customers won’t have to scroll down far to view your stuff!

josephine052270 “Follow jail”… It IS a real thing.I’ve been there! ha ha…For me, my incarceration has lasted anywhere between six hours to a little more 24 hours. Poshmark will put you in follow jail if you follow approx 10,000 people within a 24-hr period. Why? Bc some sellers use bots to follow and share. I suppose this keeps things “fair.” You will receive an error message when you reach the limit. So, until I’m released, I usually share like crazy to keep myself visible.

josephine052270 Making friends.Super easy, I’m extremely shy so I don’t really talk that much to people here, but I do share. And I share stuff from power sellers very often, and most of them share back. This guarantees me an audience of perennially millions of shoppers on a weekly basis. I remember the ones that share and make it an effort to share theirs regularly. My feed never stops, I get easily 500-1000 notifications a day, mostly followers. Sharing is the universal language of friendship on Poshmark.

josephine052270 Power sellers: how do you find them? You start here. I'll give you a couple names you can check out: Katef has around 2.5 MILLION. Msjoi has about 650k. I visit their followers lists often. They are so visible that it is guaranteed that the people following them are ACTIVE users.. so this gives me a list rich in new people to follow on a regular basis. I jot down the names of these sellers and hit their lists a couple times a week. 👍

josephine052270 Q: Why isn't anyone sharing back? I've shared so many people's listings! A: Bc you likely didn't look at their stats at the top of their closets.Someone may have a million followers & only 1,000 shares.This suggests they won't take the time to return the favor.I NEVER share listings until I check a seller's stats.Don't waste valuable time on people who don't participate. Sometimes it takes me lots of attempts to share bc I live in a rural area with very spotty internet service. So on the days it works ok,I jump on it...lol. Hence the reason I recommend following all you can.It's much faster to find a list & click the follow button than waiting for closets to load. However, I do share most from closets that I see activity. I appreciate your input! It helps others who are new here. 🤗

josephine052270 SELLING TIP!How to make items you wanna sell show to more ppl:when you share your own items,share the ones you really want to sell LAST.This makes them show up at the TOP of your closet.Most Poshers share only 1-2 listings, it's fact.And the listings they are most likely to share?Well..they're the ones that appear at the very top of your closet.Ppl don't like to scroll-they just want to click & be done.So move your inventory around & maximize exposure on what you want to sell!

josephine052270 HOW TO:Avoid the scam!Sad but true, even on Poshmark there are people who want to steal your info.They often target new users, posting a message to you feigning interest&then ask you to contact them at an email address. DON'T fall for it! Best action is to simply remove their comment from your listing.I'll tell you a quick,easy way to do that in my next comment! 🤗

josephine052270 HOW TO: So... Someone left a rude comment, or tried to get you to contact them outside of Poshmark... What can you do?? Delete their comment, it's easy! Simply go to the comment, tap the little red flag below it and tag it as spam/harassment...Whatever the case may be.Poshmark will immediately remove the comment. Fixed! 💯💯

josephine052270 HOW DO I PRICE MY ITEMS TO SELL?The first thing I do is look on Poshmark for what price other sellers are listing the same item at.Then depending on the rarity/condition of the item,I price accordingly! Avoid the pitfalls of pricing according to your sentimentality for the item. People are looking for a great deal and will pay no heed to how much you loved that favorite shirt you used to wear all the time. ALWAYS price within reason. 👍

This leaves a little wiggle room for you to offer discounts to interested buyers, like free shipping or additional money off the top. 👍

josephine052270 😲 OOPS! I made a private offer to likers and I put the wrong price on it! How do I cancel it? 😲 That's easy! Just go to the listing in question and change the size of your item. This automatically cancels the offer across the board to everyone that received it. After that, you just change it back to the correct size and resubmit your corrected offer! Ta-da! ✨🎱🎩✨

But! if you look at the bottom of the Poshmark label it says we are authorized to use ALL priority mail packaging—safest way is just use your own box & avoid the headache.

josephine052270 @melmea2 of course you can use your own box. Supposedly the only ones we CAN'T use are the EXPRESS MAIL boxes. We are allowed to use FLAT RATE and REGIONAL RATE "PRIORITY MAIL" boxes. Hope this helps clear the confusion. It seems to me that the problem lies with the postal workers who accept our packages when we send them out.

It not only shares the item automatically to your followers but it may catch the eye of new buyers & people who have been interested in/liked the same listing in the past. This will also move the item to the very top of your closet. I suggest doing this on listings that have a lot of likers. Doing this usually produces a sale for me❤️

josephine052270 SHARING YOUR OWN ITEMS: TIP!! As mentioned previously, it's v VERY important to share your own closet daily, at least once. Try waiting a few minutes in between sharing your items. If you share all at once it shows on the feed as you sharing "x items... and x more" so not ALL your pictures get shown. This increases your visibility when you share. DON'T BE AFRAID TO PROMOTE YOURSELF! 👍

If you don't,they'll just keep on shopping for a lower price. Also, offering a price reduction NOW could make them think twice about searching further before your item gets snapped up by another buyer. But, they still have 24 hrs to purchase at the reduced price after you send an offer. It works for me, hope it works for you!

All I can think of is to maybe keep a list of them somewhere so you can refer to them later. Maybe someone else here has an idea?

josephine052270 @vlahe66 yes. At the top of your "news" feed, you will see categories... Likes, offers, etc. Just click on "offers" and it filters out all of your offers in one list. If the offer is less than 24 hours old, it will also appear at the bottom of your listing as "view offers." Just click on it and it shows who you sent it to and how many hours are left on it. 🙂

Offer to sell some items for them and take a cut of it, most people don’t want to be bothered... so you can take their unwanted items off their hands AND make a profit AND make them some extra money. It’s a win-win!

josephine052270 @albano13 I have tried both ways. It seems that when I send them immediately I do a little better. On Fridays I send offers out on my most popular items as a general rule. It’s a hit or miss kind of thing-sometimes people come out of the woodwork and buy things & they didn’t even like my listing in the first place. I do get a good amount of impulse buyers. That’s why I think visibility is the thing here on Poshmark, and it’s why I stress building your following.

josephine052270 @melmea2 Don’t quote me on this, but I THINK the daily limit is 10,000 per. Not sure on the hourly limit either. Usually once I get out of jail, I mix up the follows and shares, this normally solves the problem after a day or so, but when I do start following again, I back off on the amount per day and after a few days, I’m back to being able to follow larger amounts.

Reason being, Poshmark will lump all your shares into one notification on your followers’ timelines and only a few of your listings/pics will appear to them. Thank you for the question!

josephine052270 @melmea2 it happens to all of us. I’m not sure what you can say to make people buy because people do or don’t for personal reasons. I try to look at likes as “window shopping.” Hopefully the person comes back to buy it when they’re ready, and if they do, they’ll already have the lower price you offered. You might try putting up different pics once in a while to switch it up-sometimes that helps to attract attention, too. Just keep at it, being active is the key. Have a great day!

Pic 4: type in the interested buyer’s name in SEARCH BOX. (It’s a good idea to write it down before you do this so you share to the correct person.) Their profile should be the 1st that shows up on your list.Go to your account, scroll down & click on MY BUNDLES—->SELL. The buyer’s bundle should be 1st in that list.

Click on the purse icon under the listings you would like to add to the bundle. You can COMMENT to the buyer in the space above your listing photos. At the right bottom, you can create your personalized offer using the OFFER button. Submit the offer & voila! You just created a bundle for a buyer! But if you would like to make a posting show as “ not for sale,” you need to go into your listing under “edit” and over “ availability” at the bottom, press the “ not for sale” button and update it. As for graphics, I find mine online. If I didn’t address this question correctly, just let me know!

josephine052270 @leessaa I would send her a message telling her what your intentions are. I do not believe you can change pricing on a bundle you’ve already made an offer on. If the buyer agrees, I would cancel the bundle, re-do the bundle, hit you’re offer button and it will allow you to offer free shipping and you may create a set price for the entire lot of items you’re selling. People will create a bundle, i offer 15% off for 2 items. then all offer a discount, because a lot of times it seems the bundle just sits there. Also, have you experienced a lot of people not accepting their packages and waiting till the 4 days are up? I try my hardest to ship my items out the same day or the next, and this is frustrating.

If I make an offer and they don’t accept it, I don’t cut my throat by offering additional discounts, as I usually give a good discount at first. Remember that ppl create bundles or like your items for a myriad of reasons-to maybe buy it later on, something for next season, styling ideas, etc, don’t let their not buying immediately bring you down!

josephine052270 @ameliawatson32 I experience it, too-ppl don’t accept the package and by default,Poshmark puts the funds in my account several days later.It’s frustrating when you rely on the money. Perhaps send a friendly message to the buyer such as “did you like your item?” Many buyers don’t know that they must accept the shipment so the seller gets paid. It is an issue that Poshmark needs to look into by maybe sending reminders to buyers to accept packages once USPS shows a package as delivered.

josephine052270 @hollyls I think the best strategy IS to follow back everyone- even your followers. Just because someone only sells menswear etc doesn’t mean that they themselves wouldn’t buy from you... or that they wouldn’t buy a gift for someone from your closet- I make a LOT of sales to other sellers who sell things that aren’t like mine. My opinion is: the more exposure, the better! Good luck!

josephine052270 @ontheharbour I think this happens when you share items very quickly from your closet.Thats why I recommend waiting a few mins in between sharing your items.Some people will only look at the items showing in these groups while scrolling thru their feeds & not click to see what else you have. So:share a few at a time, wait a few, then share some more. That way, EVERYTHING you share will be seen & you have more of a chance of catching someone’s eye 😀

One thing I’d include if I were you would be measurements: inseams/waists on the pants-sizes of your purses, etc. you can’t imagine how much ppl used to ask me for measurements. Also, make sure things are pressed/not wrinkly. Make the photos as attractive as possible. Name brands on the titles of your listings help a LOT, too, instead of just “shirt,” etc. 🙃 if you require more feedback, just ask!

Go to the main feed, click on the person icon with a + sign by it which brings you to the next page... and just click on the “my city” link. Voila! The only way I know of the cancel a bundle on YOUR side is to change the size of one of the items in it, or re-list one of the items in that bundle. Then it cancels. It’s a glitch Poshmark needs to take care of-I’ve got bundles from where I started on Poshmark still sitting there haha-it might be possible to cancel a bundle from a seller if you “unlike” the items-not sure. (??) I’ve often wondered this myself! Good question!

Just keep at it-when I don’t have time for parties etc, I just jump on this listing, refer to the list of ppl that “liked” it, and follow the followers of the larger/power sellers. Takes about ten minutes to hit a few blue buttons and it makes my feed absolutely blow up! This listing was created to help you in every way possible. josephine052270 @poshtoon there are pros and cons, I agree. I suppose Poshmark providing the labels makes it much user friendly, no muss/fuss. I like the prepaid labels. But if you look at rates such as UPS, you’re still going to be paying about the same amount in shipping. You may try upping your asking prices a few percent on some items to offset it. It also evens out over time, especially when shipping heavier items like shoes 👠

I blocked them but didn’t know how to delete their inappropriate comments. Thankfully Poshmark CS took care of it after submitting an email. Knowing about the red flag 🚩 will be helpful if it should ever happen again.

Yes, after a couple hundred comments (not sure if the exact number) you will be unable to comment on certain posts... it isn’t anything you’re doing wrong, I think Poshmark automatically limits the maximum number of comments allowed per listing. Let me know if I misunderstood your question.

goldilox12345 Hello! I’ve had a profile since October but only been active selling for a couple weeks. I do not have much in my closet - trying to figure out if it will prove profitable first. I feel like I have been sharing other’s items like crazy - I often have to shake the cramp out of my hand 😂 I’ve only had a couple likes, which may mean I am selling the wrong kind of items or prices are off. It’s a learning process. My question is: make an offer right away when someone likes or wait a week or two?

I make offers relatively quickly, usu within the first few hrs, but always within 24 hours while the item is still fresh in the buyer's mind. l do believe following vs. sharing will produce far faster results for you; it did for me.Sharing takes more time comparatively. What can you do if a buyer rates you unfairly or says or does it just to keep it without paying so it’s refunded? #4.How do you send something that is worth $1000’s with insurance and a signed receipt of receiving the expensive item. Poshmark doesn’t offer the upgrade option for shipping insured value and signed receipt so that there is a record and Posh can track it and the seller gets paid. If their is a way please tell me?

Sharing to parties: It it's my understanding that once an item fitting the theme is shared to a Posh party by either you or another Posher, it won't show in the party again, it will only show once. IThe listing shared more than once will simply default and be shared with yours and/or their followers. So it still hits the feed, just not the Party feed. Gonna split my answers up. josephine052270 @sarahs567 When someone rates you unfairly or tries to keep the item and not pay: I can't stress enough that not only should you have clear/multiple pics of your item on your listing, but also snap some pics using the date/time stamp on your phone right before you ship it. To dispute a bad rating you will need to open a case with Poshmark.This is where you can provide proof of the item's condition before it ships out. Poshmark is very fair, but especially so when you can provide proof.

josephine052270 @sarahs567 Sending expensive items/insurance: Poshmark will not provide compensation for shipping insurance- therefore, the seller assumes responsibility for any extra shipment upgrade costs. josephine052270 @sarahs567 I should have explained this in a little more detail. I meant that it is 4pm in each time zone. So its actually a window. If you are on EST, that window is 4-7pm. (When it's 7pm EST, it is only 4pm on the west coast) This is a standard time MOST ppl get off of work. I find it is an excellent time to share and seems to produce the best results 😃

josephine052270 @fancymadame1002 hello, Madame. You can make pics more appealing several ways: use the same background in each one, if possible. I see some sellers using props like flowers/ or accessories that match the item-or signs w/the name of the store in each pic. The mannequin steps up the game. IMO, they make it easier for ppl to see the fit. Google images is a great resource for stock images. Maybe you could try a camera app from the Play Store?

The reasoning is this is an offer being negotiated/countering privately between just you and one interested buyer, not a public price drop you made on the listing and/or in an offer made to all likers on that listing. I made my first counter offer to someone, the negotiation happened only a few minutes after the listing was made. so I was hoping I wouldn't have to relist the item so soon if the buyer didn't accept the counter! lowering by 10% each time can really hurt the bottom line!

I find that Poshmark's FAQ's/ help sections are severely lacking in certain areas-I used to have to contact them directly for any kind of technical assistance. Hopefully this post will eliminate that headache for others.

HOW TO ADD ITEM A BUYER DIDN'T LIKE TO THEIR BUNDLE: Go to your seller profile--click on "my bundles"--then click sell tab-click on the bundle you want to add to. Click on the 3 little sous at the top right for a dropdown menu-click " add to bundle"-this brings up your closet. Click the icon below item you want to add(pic 2). Voila!

josephine052270 @6kretail hi! You've done a great job on your closet! A time saver for you would be to list measurements on every item instead of asking buyers to message you for them-however! I found very few without measurements listed. If you want to get fancy you could buy a mannequin to show how the item looks when worn for the ones which you can't provide manufacturer's photos. Other than that,your descriptions are on point and l like that you provide so many photos! Keep on going with it!

Try to add your new items a couple at a time, rather than all at once-l find this also increases interest.Try to spend a few minutes a day to follow as many people as possible and share your own stuff to your followers/parties after that. Poshmark rolled out a new system for people to report suspicious listings. l can't tag you in the post l found bc comments are full, but will add pics to this post in a sec so you can find it and read the comments. l would contact Poshmark support to assist you in relisting your purse.

josephine052270 @rach1964 idk why. Maybe they think they're the "fashion police?" I can't see your listing, either. So go to the bottom right of your app & click on your own name. Scroll to the bottom and click "contact Poshmark support." They're awesome and will help you. I'm not sure why you weren't notified, but this is my best educated guess. I'm sorry this happened to you but am confident Poshmark will correct it.

Must Gucci bags here are priced at least several hundred dollars and up. l just typed into Google "why won't Poshmark let me list my authentic Gucci bag," & it came up there. I'm sure someone thought the price odd and reported it maybe for that reason? No idea why ppl do what they do, but just keep at it & don't let this setback upset you. ❤

I did see helpful posts from Poshers about this and googled it like you said. I have read numerous comments that are scary and I am asking myself is this all worth it. On Poshmark, I've had a lot of experiences with buyers and sellers alike, and can assure you the bad folks make up a very minuscule percentage. Don't let this sour you on selling here! Instead, use it to better yourself and move forward. l am certain you will feel much better when customer support answers you back. l bet they will fix the issue for you! What happened tip you will help others here. 😊 🌼

Traffic will increase for you exponentially, then, share your entire closet to your followers right after that. That usually garners me TONS of likes, comments, etc. That's literally what l just did,only about 30 minutes ago & it brought you here, didn't it? hehe 😉 ❤

josephine052270 @fabufinds4all l suggest searching Poshmark for items/ brand names you're selling and see what others are asking for them $$. lt will take a little homework, but once you get a feel for it, it's easy. Another trick is to price just slightly higher to allow yourself some wiggle room to wheel and deal withbuyers who like to negotiate.

My question is would you recommend, have your items just random in your closet or have it organized by category? I have 150 active items but i want to try something new, since its been so slow, I have sold over 200 since I started

josephine052270 @melmea2 too be honest it has worked both ways for me. Due to sharing etc, Postmark completely rearranges your closet...it can sometimes become TOO much work just to keep it organized! l think it depends more on your items that ppl have a desire to purchase-so those items are the ones l try to keep at the top of my closet. l have tried to keep mine organized in the past, but gave up because things get changed every time you share. Frustrating, for sure. l don't have a solid answer this time!
