@hope4soul you can absolutely get away with this one if you’re normally a size small- it was washed once on delicate/handwash cycle on an HE machine with a little bit of soap and no fabric softener on a warm water cycle and hung to dry 💕please let me know if you have any other questions ☺️

Ok, thanks for letting me know. Soooo... it sounds like the directions for washing this sweater are to dry clean only. Did it drink at all? Or did the fabric change at all from washing it? Usually washing something with warm water that is supposed to be dry cleaned shrinks it. (It has to be done with cold water...)

Darn! I just did some more research & it sounds like using warm water instead of cold water will shrink both alpaca & wool. (“The most important thing to know when washing your alpaca garment is that it is agitation and heat that shrink and destroy the fiber. If you use hot or warm water- your garment will shrink!”). Soooo... If it shrunk I probably wouldn’t be able to get away with an XS afterall. :-(

@hope4soul wow I am impressed with your research! I tried it on one time after washing it (only tried on, did not wear it out) and it is still oversized and would probably fit a small. It was pretty big when I purchased it! 💕 I hope this helps!
