Don't be fooled! I purchased this Royal Ball lipstick on here, the seller even stated that it was authentic. When I received it the packaging looked great but the cap did NOT fit on my other Mac lipsticks. I verified that it was FAKE! I added photos to show you, the ones on the right are the fake one. NOTICE how matte the gold on the tube should be. Since then I've noticed that MOST Cinderella lipsticks being sold on here are fake! Sellers that have fakes are- mylilthings, vickipr27

My friend has both authentic lipsticks and I hate to tell you but they don't look anything like yours. :( Maybe you bought them online and was unaware that they were fake? If you bought them directly from MAC then I'm at a loss. 🤔

helphomless My aunt bought them for me as a birthday gift and I'm almost definitely positive she got them from Dillards or Nordstrom's and she's really rich and I'm not but those were not my colors that's why I put them on here but I know she would not get fake make up there's no way in this world

ccking80 @helphomless I won't argue with you, but if you truly research the colors you'll find they aren't the same, as well as the gold packaging on the tube is different. When Mac product is purchased from a department store they have a sticker on each product. Again I'm not arguing and won't call you out again. My opinion though, from my research, there are a few differences in your lipsticks vs the authentic ones.

stupid_cupid @ccking80 @helphomless Ladies, just for future reference, one quick way to spot fake MAC Cinderella lipsticks is the packaging. AUTHENTIC MAC Cinderella lipsticks DO NOT HAVE SERIAL NUMBERS on the side of the lipstick boxes; only the FAKE lipsticks DO. MAC would never mess up its LE packaging like that. ❤️

ccking80 @lnic1122 Hello there!! So glad you saw my posting!! This collection is beautiful isn't it?! For me the easiest way to tell in photos are when there is a line on the actual lipstick tube, authentic Mac does not have that. They do a great job on duplicating packaging so it's almost impossible to tell in the photos.

ccking80 @lnic1122 Also I would be very cautious, if they can guarantee they bout it directly from Mac and not received it as a present that would be good. Also when you receive the item do not rate them until you do your research, it's much more evident when you can compare the actual product to the photos! Hope this helps!

I did also find a list of the products uses by the makeup artist for the actual film. We're trying to get as close as possible so I may go that direction.

I would hate to see someone get scammed. It’s disgusting how many fakes are out there. Watch out for any MAC lipglosses or Lipsticks that have the round sticker that is usually under the actual product on the box instead.

cynthia66 @katylr5 i bought a 17 piece Mac Cinderella set for 800.00 on another selling app. The seller sent me 13 pieces & all were dupes. Very infuriating, I took them into Mac & they verified all dupes. Its not just the lipsticks. I got 13 pieces of fake. 🤦‍♀️

sheenanh17 I really wish I would’ve seen this sooner! Just got “Royal Ball” on Merc and now that I see these pics- it’s 100% fake! The cap doesn’t fit other Macs and the shade is a matte not a lustre! I did get it wicked cheap thank God but still, so infuriating! You’re doing the Lord’s work here, thank you!😆

sheenanh17 Just wanted to add another red flag for collectors out there, the “M•A•C” logo on the fake is wrong! Hard to tell in pics when it’s alone but when you compare it with a real one, you can clearly tell it’s fake! The letters are too squished together and tall! So disappointing 😞
