Intricately Etched Copper Black Enameled Small Middle Eastern Decorative Ewer/ Vase This is an Intricately Etched Copper Black Enameled Small Middle Eastern, Turkish Decorative Ewer. The piece has intricate etchings over its whole surface from the separate lid to the handle, spout, body and base - it is completely covered. The etchings are unique renditions of a deer and faun family feeding on wildflowers and of one suckling with its mother. The etchings are so precise down to the fur texture on the deer to the flower petals and leaves. There are etchings that accent the handle and spout, and the lid has so much intricate etching - it is more copper etched than black enameled surface - as does the base. This small work of art must have taken a very long time to create as it is so meticulously etched and the renderings are so exact and perfect. The ewer measures approximately 8" high by 5" spout to handle and 2.5" wide. It is also signed on the underside by the artist. This is such a jewel and would need to be displayed prominently.
