Vintage Nutcracker Teak Wood Brass Danish Modern Functional Art Oddities Mid Century MCM Scandinavian Functional Art!!!!! It’s probably the coolest object you’ve seen in a while. It’s a workhorse….from the era of “they don’t make them like this anymore.” Great vintage condition with light typical wear from age and use. You could probably shine the brass pieces. The overall teak wood is smooth. I inherited a lot of cool objects from my grandmother and have been slowly going through the boxes. We actually used this for about a month to crack a bowl of nuts while watching TV. Nuts are super healthy, easy to purchase at the grocery store and the whole process is addictive yet soothing….and this cracker looks cool displayed and is a sturdy tool. Google tell me it’s by the Danish designer Erik Jorgensen whose background was furniture upholstery. There is evidence of part of a manufacturing sticker, green and gold. There is another one selling on another platform and two that have sold at an auction house ….do your homework if necessary.
