Relive the highs and lows of the incredible journey that was Euro ‘96 with this England 1996 European Championship Away Shirt, faithfully recreated by Score Draw. Managed by Terry Venables and Captained by Tony Adams, Euro 96 hosts England drew 1-1 with Switzerland in the opening match of Group A, with Alan Shearer scoring England's goal. England defeated Scotland 2-0 in their second game, with Shearer again and Paul Gascoigne on the score sheet. In their final Group Match, England delivered one of their finest performances ever, with two goals apiece from Shearer and Sheringham securing a 4-1 win over the Netherlands. England's Quarter Final against Spain ended goalless but, England won through 4-2 on penalties, as Shearer, Platt, Pearce and Gascoigne all converted from the spot and Goalkeeper David Seaman stopped Miguel Nadal's spot kick to see England through. In the Semi Final, England faced Germany, and Shearer put the hosts ahead after just three minutes only for Germany to equalise less than 15 minutes later. In extra time, both Gascoigne and Anderton came close to winning it for England, with a golden goal, but with no further score, the match went to penalties. Both sides scored their first five kicks, before Gareth Southgate had his penalty saved, allowing Germany's Andreas Möller to score the decisive goal.
