Eluktronics Prometheus XVII With Blown Resistor

You’re looking at a laptop that’s had a hard life. It’s a 2021 Eluktronics Prometheus XVII. Not in the best shape, but a powerhouse. Comes with 2 SSD ports, 32 GB RAM, a 4.8 GHz (max speed, not base) AMD Ryzen 9 5900X processor, an NVIDIA RTX 4090 GPU, 4-cell 4100mAh/32.62WH battery, 19.5V 230W charger, and THX virtual surround sound. For base storage, I’ve included a 2TB SSD wiped clean with Windows ready to set up. For issues, contact Eluktronics, which provides drivers and programs to customize lighting, performance, etc. Ports: 3 USB 3.0, USB-C, HDMI, SD card reader, and Ethernet. Condition-wise, this is a mess. It’s NOT safe to charge — a resistor blew and sparks briefly then smokes when plugged in. Needs repair to avoid motherboard damage and for safety. Plastics are cheap with cracks and obvious flaws on the bottom case. There’s a stuck pixel (sometimes visible, sometimes not) and very small white spots (not dead or broken). The laptop is fussy about device acceptance and can be intermittent with charging/accessing USB devices when one plugged in (usually phones). Likely Windows. Sometimes, it charges intermittently when CPU and GPU demand is VERY high, which can damage the charging port.
