Elegant pair of Gripoix cabochon 1990s Mughal style Clip-on Earrings

This is a very elegant and very chic pair of Gripoix Cabochon yellow gold 1980s-1990s Mughal style clip-on earrings. I am quite unfamiliar with jewelry like this, and I've spent a good bit of time researching it. I am constantly learning! These gorgeous earrings are an heirloom item and with a little care and attention can last lifetimes. I am not 100% sure of their history, but I believe they were made for the Indian Couture Industry and were maybe even a Bollywood trinket. Think of the stories that they could tell!! Gripoix refers to the technique of glass pouring they used when making their beautiful pieces, and I do believe they are true Gripoix, altho they were made in the Mughal style, rather than being actual Mughal. Either way, these earrings are the Star. They are absolutely stunning and would look gorgeous with any outfit, I can even see these babies looking fab with jeans and tee y'all!!
