holbyshangers I am so sorry I am just seeing your message. I do not have the dimensions with me at work, but yes, it will hold a standard cell phone. I had no problems when I used it for formal functions in the past. I certainly do apologize for the delayed response. I can give you the specific measurements when I return home this evening.
