@sdmelissa23 hi. Thank you for your inquiry! I have measured both of these to help you see which one would better fit. XS/S waist is 22 inches and approximately 33 inches in length. M/L waist is 24 inches and approximate 35 inches in length. I am 5'5 and about 135 pounds. I personally would go with M/L since the smaller size would be fitting too tight and I prefer a little more room to breathe. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions!
