A guilloche and enameled bombe round box.
This is a superb and fabulous enameled box, created in the city of Pforzheim Germany in the early 20th century, back in the 1910. This beautiful box was carefully crafted in the Edwardian Belle-Epoque style, with impeccable details in solid .900/.999 standard silver and finished with yellow gold gilt interiors. The box is circular with a lid bombe-shape and is fitted with four-barrels hinged lid raised by a simple thumbpiece. The circular sides are decorated with engine turned guilloche decorations which is topped with applications of translucent very light greenish enamel. The lid is decorated with the portrait bust of a full-dressed lady in high couture, wearing a flamboyant hat touched with an exuberant bow.
