This is a burly mountaineering/skiing jacket with extra Primaloft, much warmer than a "puffy," with a huge, helmet friendly hood. In many conditions, Primaloft works better than down, it dries faster and keeps you warmer when wet. Virtually of the wear is to a stiffer, bonded insert to keep the brow of the hood open; the rest of this jacket is in excellent condition. If you add a baselayer and a shell it will keep you comfortable in just about any weather you're likely to encounter at a US ski resort, at least if the chairlifts not shut down to a wind advisory.
