I used to work on Ed, Edd n Eddy as a storyboard artist. I drew this while I worked on the show. Ed, Edd n Eddy (and Jimmy) as young adults. Just private drawings I did in my free time and for warm ups. My line of thought here was that Double Dee would probably embrace his inner self a lot easier than Eddy could and might reach that point first. He might have a relationship with someone else. Someone like Jimmy. Seeing this from the sideline would be what drives Eddy over the edge. He'd finally come out and naturally believe he deserves a relationship with Double Dee more than Jimmy does.
