EXQUISITE DESIGNER 1940s' MULTI-COLOR FABRIC & FELT HAT

This is an incredibly valuable museum-quality multi-colored fabric/felt hat from the famous milliner Laddie Northridge. Hats from this designer are rare and hard to find, and are sold at very high prices. This a collectors' dream! The hat structure is of a thick, round pancake. The top of the hat is made of a patterned, multi-color fabric, which is enhanced with turquoise beads, which match the bottom of the hat and the back piece of felt. There is a strap attached to the inside to keep the hat in place. Label: NORTHDRIDGE INC. 1 West 57th. St. New York Laddie Northridge was a one of the most well-known hat designer s from the 1930s’ to the 1950s’ The hats were in the most fashionable & exclusive shops, and also at his own boutique shop at 16 West 57th Street, New York. Some Laddie Northridge hats are showcased at the Fashion History Museum in Canada. This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
