EXCITING 1940s' BLACK STRAW BERET WITH TALL GREEN FEATHERS, ROUND TRIM & TASSLES

This is a standout piece of history. The beautiful black straw is shaped into a beret. At one side there is a round trim made of what looks like cording. There are tall emerald green feathers that emerges from it, as well as 2 tassels. This is a stunning look! The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials.
