buttonandthread @closetnexus - you’re out here in Tucson Arizona, no?? I’d be SHOCKED if that were any other desert besides out here in the Sajuaro National Park here🌵(east/west tho? Looks like maybe east?)I live right there, 20min away, if so! It’s a land full of dichotomies. Sometimes, it’s hard to see the beauty…past the brown, dry, prickly surface of the desert. But beyond all those rough edges is one of the most peaceful, enchanting lands I’ve ever known♥️🌵♥️

buttonandthread @closetnexus - oh, no doubt…the smell of the creosote & mesquite mixed together after a desert rain is just…nothing like it. Infact, it’s the one snell I missed TERRIBLY in my travels…from Oregon, to NY to Ireland. When I’m away from here for an extended period of time, it’s the smell of a desert rain that I miss 1st…😍 As a native to this desertland, it took me about 35yrs to fully find/appreciate magic and beauty here…I’m glad I did😘
