Two religious themed movies that caused a sensation when they came out: The Passion of the Christ produced by Mel Gibson tells the story of the last 12 hours of the life of Jesus. Rated R. Run time 127 minutes. The Mission starring Robert DeNiro and Jeremy Irons tells the story of a Jesuit missionary, Father Gabriel, and a reformed slave trader, Rodrigo Mendoza, who find themselves in 18th-century South America, building a mission and defending it against the Portuguese who seek to enslave the indigenous Guaraní people. Note this 2-disc set comes with a second DVD that is supposed to be a documentary but it does not work. Only the movie is working. Rated PG. Run time 125 minutes. New to Poshmark?
