Poshmark added a function for sellers to reach out to the shoppers via the “My Shoppers” en mass. This is convenient for sellers but can be annoying for buyers. The only way to not get these messages is to block the closet entirely. I emailed Support about this. Like other suggestions I’ve sent to Support, this will likely be ignored. I need your support to get this in the works because I’m sure you agree with me! Suggested Email text to send to Support: PLEASE add the ability to opt out of mass comments to shoppers without having to block a closet! Add a function that allows users to mute/block comments sent out en mass, either selecting to do so via notifications and/or per closet ("mute 'My Shoppers' comments"). Basically, create an unsubscribe function to only comments sent via the "My Shoppers" function through the closet. This way, I can still communicate with a closet without receiving unwanted spam messages from the closet. Thank you.

rands8763 I emailed Posh support about all the live shows I'm getting in my feed, clogging it up. They said you can't turn them off!!! What???? So even if you unfollow someone, you will still get the live notifications in your feed. Sucks big time, especially for buyers, who end up going to the shows and forgetting about the listings!

thewalkencloset @rands8763 that’s a good point. My feed is flooded with live show notifications. Imagine what it’ll be like once it moves out of beta and everyone can do a show! The best way around it right now is just to go to “Comments,” Likes,” Offers,” etc. to filter out what you don’t want to see.

rands8763 @thewalkencloset I’ve turned off just about everything, that’s why I wrote to Posh support. You can’t turn off the live feed notifications, Posh has become a mess. I wonder if it has anything to do with them being sold to the South Korea company, at least I think that’s where they are.

gems_of_glory @rands8763 Very interesting news you shared there. I recently started unfollowing everybody who has a live show notification, especially those who post shows a few times a day. I didn't know it was sold to a party in South Korea, but I knew Poshmark was run by Vietnamese people.

gems_of_glory @thewalkencloset That is correct, we have to literally filter through the comments, likes, bundles, offers, etc.... it used to be exciting to log on and find 64 notifications - it most likely meant that you have a sale or an offer or a comment from someone asking about your item. But, not anymore... it's mostly all live shows. Gosh, I wish we could somehow put a limit on it. What do you mean by beta testing?

thewalkencloset @gems_of_glory the beta testing means that not all Poshers have access to it. They running through a version of it, collecting data and feedback. Then making changes before pushing it live for everyone.

thewalkencloset @dosojosverdes hi! Thank you so much for your lovely compliment. 💕 It takes a lot of work but I like consistency & detail. As for all of the noise on PM, yes, it’s exasperating at times. I have a decent sized closet but I operate like a small seller. I haven’t done a live show since around Thanksgiving. I’m not big enough to make the effort worth it. So I completely understand!

lovengolightly OMGGGGGGGG!!! You couldn’t be more right!!! I have UNFORTUNATELY had to block people I have followed due to the bombarding of comments especially since the Live Posh shows!! This sucks because I don’t want to block people I follow! This defeats the purpose! But I have missed several sales or important questions from potential buyers because it’s cluttered with the bundle tags etc. PM should change this immediately!👍🏼

thewalkencloset @lovengolightly I feel your frustration, especially these days! The amount of noise (useless notifications) in my feed makes me not want to look through it. But like you said, I’ve missed offers, and sales that were delayed in shipping because they got lost. I hate blocking closets too because it’s counterproductive to the point of Poshmark. I hope PM takes this seriously soon but they seem focused on ad revenue. I hate that they were bought.

gizzysmom67 @thewalkencloset @lovengolightly I 100% agree! I also emailed support a few days ago with the same issues, asking the same questions. They told me to send a screenshot of what I was referring to. I did and they responded back that most of them have already been contacted about "spamming" and when I get one (One?? I get about 30 per day!) I should just mark them spam. So that's what I've been doing 🤷‍♀️

I get tons of messages daily too (don’t even get me started on the Live show notifications!). All that said, thank you for taking the time to read & respond to my messages today! gizzysmom67 @thewalkencloset I'm really not sure, but I don't believe so. I'm not even sure that it actually blocks them. I think they get a warning from Posh letting them know they can't do that. If they continue, maybe Posh has a way to stop them from continuing. Or maybe Posh just closes their account. Not really sure but I've been doing it lol And it really wasn't much. But I was happy to try to help out if even just a little bit.

thewalkencloset @tbarandon you have to completely block my closet to stop getting messages from me. I know it’s a pain to get them from so many closets on a daily basis but I try to keep these messages to a minimum. 🙂

thewalkencloset @tbarandon oh! It’s because you’ve “interacted” with my closet in the past! I hadn’t even thought about that. Blocking my closet will prevent you from getting any more messages though. I’m sort about that. Poshmark really needs to work this out.

ccrbonline @rands8763 Go into notifications and you can mute party invites and party starting notifications. I never get them any more since updating this.
