janieonline @dessi06 not silly at all! if you pick any dress category you will see it done quite often. people will usually lay the dress flat and simply lay the tape measure across from one armpit to the other (you should get around 19") then lay the tape measure across the waist (around 21" for this size) and i then length- top of the shoulder down to the end of the hem( usually around 40 " to be called a midi, which falls below the knee.) I will try to find you a good example and send it to you!!!
