jnafaw @rageatm1967 sorry for the delayed reply- I wanted to grab some shoe polish and try it. It definitely helps- I think that there is a scar there (like the cowhide they used had some discoloration from an old wound). It is definitely not as noticeable in person as in photos. I added a photo in different lighting for you.
