Decals: The sheet contains decals for three United States Army Air Force (USAAF) Republic P-47D Thunderbolt aircraft of the 362nd Fighter Group (FG), 9th Air Force (AF), two serving with the 377th Fighter Squadron (FS) flown by Lieutenant (Lt) Kenneth Caldwell, possibly, and Lt Charles F. "Chuck" Mann and one with the 379th FS flown by Lt Robert V. McCormick (not McCormack as per the placement guide).
Includes solid and stencilled Black bureau numbers, Black aircraft codes, superb nose art in the form of both one and two part Black edged in Red “Gooch” titles for Caldwell’s P-47, Pink “VICTORY 1ST” titles, the ‘V’ letter edged in Black, alongside artwork of Pink brassiere and ladies slip for the nose surfaces and both one and two part Yellow shadowed in Red “Chuck’s Wagon” titles for placing below the canopy of McCormick’s P-47 and Black “WHY PICK ON ME” titles below art work of a nude cartoon character, a row of Red triangles to edge the Red nose and Red and Black quartered ‘pin’ wheel hub covers for Mann’s P-47, three Red rings for the fuselage of McCormick’s P-47 indicating battle damage requiring repair, one and two part victory markings, pilot and ground crew names, Black data blocks, two sets of .50 calibre blast tube numbers I - 4, two sets of Black theatre ID bands for the tail and
