Rare and Charming, Vintage, Jewelry BOOK PIECE, Pot Metal, Gold Gilt, Enamel, Rhinestone, Dutch Children, Double Chatelaine Brooch from the 1940s. The Dutch Boy and Girl Brooches measure 1 5/8" x 1 1/8" and are connected by two (2) gold-tone cable chains. Brooches have secure rollover clasps. This Retro double brooch depicts a Dutch Male and Female, in traditional dress, with shoulder water carriers. The base is Pot Metal overlaid with Gold Gilt. Shoes, hats, and neck yokes have black and red enamel accents. The figural costumes are covered with clear Faceted Rhinestones and Red Glass Cabochons. Brooches featured in Marcia Brown's book, RHINESTONE JEWELRY FIGURALS, ANIMALS AND WHIMSICALS, page 48. Labeled as Jack and Jill Water Carriers, they have a value of $95.00.
