Dupioni Silk Fabric Two Piece Custom Made Dressy Skirt and Jacket Dress. This piece was a custom made outfit by Berta Sawyer Shop in Philadelphia, PA that I wore to my son’s wedding. It is approximately a size 14 Petite. It is made from silk dupioni which is and elegant and luxurious that is known for its slubbed texture and unique lavish appearance. The cost was $650. The skirt is a paneled, tulip style with a flared bottom. The front is flat with a banded top and the back is elastic waist. It is fully lined. It is 26 1/2” in length and has a 30” waistband not stretched.The jacket, worn as a top with nothing under it, although you could wear a camisole, is a slightly fit and flair waist length jacket. It has hidden snap closures and a rhinestone buckle closure at the waist (it could be easily removed if you wish). A large ruffled collar which sits fairly flat goes around the entire neckline. The front of jacket is rounded and back is straight. There are slight shoulder pads which can be removed. The jacket is v-neck, but there is a snap in and out modesty panel, as shown in the photos. There are 3/4 sleeves with a flip up cuff and tiny rhinestone decor. One stone is missing and can most likely be easily replaced. From shoulder to the bottom of jacket it measures 21”. From shoulder to end of sleeve measures 18”, from armpit to end of sleeve measures 11 1/2 “. Chest, from armpit to armpit measures 21”. It truly is a very special piece.
