I'm in love with Dublin ~ I have a teddy bear dog name Teddi that I absolutely adore, and he's like another person in my family ~~ spoiled rotten, but he deserves it. gildedwillow @southerngal0724 aww I see her in your pic - what a beautiful and happy woman! My grandparents lived in Georgia almost as long as I knew them. Loved it out there. I'm hoping someday my husband will agree to move to Madison - he says it's in the realm of possibility! But we are so close to family here so will probably stay a while.

southerngal0724 Family is so important! I took care of my late husband in GA, and when he passed in 2007, it was clear that my mama needed me here, so off I went. It's a different life than in the south, but I will never regret the wonderful time I've spent with her, and so far she's doing OK for someone that's almost 95. Her dementia has some bad days, but her health is stable.

luckyangie11 That is so awesome!!! My 3 I rescued! (Lilly/white & red) was left in backyard owners moved.(Ruger/red nose chocolate) 6 wks old was 1 of 3 rescue. Moma's milk dried up from starvation, 2 pups almost dead,3 pups in yard dead w/flies on them! Pigs & rabbits they had healthy..breeding & selling for drug $$. Pups weren't selling fast so guy said it was waist of time feeding Moma (he said because b**tch wasn't making him $$!) I came everyday 3 wks/raising Hell til they gave them to me!

luckyangie11 Continued.... (Gracie the one that looks like your baby) was being sold online for $50 to a man whose FB read (breed'm, beat'm, bait'm) she was kept in a wood shack with a lawn mower. I offered the lady $150 (my bday money) & she was happy to hand her over!! I've had 20 others(Pits) I rescued. I've found homes for by transporting to fosters that rehabilated them & they all have good homes now!🙌🏻🐾❤️🙌🏻

luckyangie11 Until I am put in the cold hard ground....I will use the red headed temper & extra mouth that God gave me..to be "A Voice for something or someone that doesn't have one!" I know for a fact that's why God wired me that way (I can't turn a blind eye! I don't have one!! And God sewed my ❤️ out on my sleeve!) 👊🏻💥🐾❤️🙏🏻🙌🏻🐾!!!

They have saved so many sweeties from being sold into fighting and also from neglect. It is astounding how many horrid people abuse animals. If I weren't surrounded by people like you, I'd lose all hope in humanity!

greatnanacloset @gildedwillow I had a 3 lb one, Bitsy Belle, she passed away about 5 yrs ago. I thought I would die that day. Missy Valentine is my service dog for 11 yrs, she is extremely smart. My husband says she knows exactly what I say, I think she does.... My shadow, forever by my side and so protective. So spoiled she doesn't even know she is a dog..She acts like a child but when she goes into service mode..... She is protecting her Mana !!! I honestly don't think we could live without each other. ☹️

gildedwillow Losing them is nearly impossible @sfpatterson! I photograph rescue dogs and my friend rescues dogs with cancer and raises money to help them live a happy life until the end... She deals with loss almost daily and it hits hard each time. I've inly had two dogs before Dublin and when each died it nearly killed me too. Dublin is my first dog on my own (and with husband). I don't even want to think what it'll be like without him! I hope you have many years left with your precious girl 💗

I would so love to have a revue shelter but I don't have money and I am so allergic to all that have dander and shed..my dream would be to have land and money to have help to open a shelter.. greatnanacloset @gildedwillow I don't like that we only have space for 500 characters so I am going to post again to finish my above comment.... Do you photograph to be adopted? That is awesome too.. I have even wanted to volunteer at a shelter but my Dr says I can't.. I had a tiny chi once and kept him for about 6 yrs and had to constantly have steroid shots, Dr said I had to give him up... I couldn't. It would be like giving up a child.. Will continue in another post

greatnanacloset @gildedwillow he passed away at age age 12.... Such a sweet boy.. That is when I started searching the Internet and local shelters for a Baby I wasn't allergic to. I found Missy, (the shelter called her Franchesca) grrrr she doesn't even look like a Fran.. So I found her in a shelter in Mississippi, I live in GA. I filled out the adoption form and the only qualification I didn't meet was fenced yard.. When OPAL came through she took a huge tree and my chain link fence.

GOD IS SO GOOD, THE HUGE TREE WENT TOWARDS THE WOODS, (right near a small shop my husband built for all my crafting) if it had fallen the other way it would have taken all the antiques we had been accumulating to open a little antique shop(which we have done since retiring) they would have all been gone and so would my home!!

So I had filled out the adoption form and the Adm called me and (I knew it was about the fence) I assured him I would love her so much and she would never be outside without a leash, I have had her 11 yrs and I have kept my promise.. He told me after talking to me that he was going to approve the adoption because he knew I would be a good mama.. So I told my husband I was driving to Mississippi to get her, he said "are you insane?"

greatnanacloset @gildedwillow I said maybe a little but you can go or you can stay I am going get that Baby... So we left right then and the Adm said he would wait for us at the shelter.. I could barely stand to look at photos of her when they found her, someone had called to say there was a dead dog on the road.. She was barely breathing.. They took her to the shelter and made photos (he said if someone came inquiring they would be prosecuted) she was in horrible shape.

greatnanacloset @gildedwillow She was so infested with ticks and fleas, she had to be shaved down to her skin.. She weighed 2 lbs nothing but a skeleton with skin hanging on her.. I cried and cried and cried and cried some more.. I was off for a week it was the week of July 4th.. I literally rocked her like a Baby, put a blanket around her and rocked and cried and rocked for a week.

greatnanacloset @gildedwillow Adm said she had been kept in a cage and bred and tossed out was his speculation. She would hoard her food, because she was starved, constantly circled from being created her entire life... She has just turned 13 and she has nothing to do with anyone but me after all these years she is still afraid.. Terrified of cars.. Still anxious to ride but once she is settled she lives to get in my lap and watch where we are going .. That took about 5 yrs

greatnanacloset @gildedwillow She has been my service dog for many years and is a great one... SO THAT IS THE STORY OF AN ABUSED WOMAN AND HER ABUSED DOG!! I AM NOT SURE WHO RESCUED WHO!! I JUST KNOW I COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT HER AND SHE COULD'T LIVE WITHOUT ME!! ☹️😊😘🌹
