💙Dr.Martens 90’s chunky Velcro sandals size 39 EU 7 us 💙 💥SOLE ISSUES💥

I have a pair of great chunky platformed heel leather sandals size 39 EU 7 US (runs large) These have issues separation from the soles and I used gorilla glue on them. They need attention. Probably pokey on the glue needs attention. Why is it that this era sandals have such trouble with their soles? Disappointment! Anyways maybe you know how to remedy this tragedy.
