The effect is achieved by covering the base dye with a contrasting topcoat which gradually rubs off over time — leaving a pattern that’s unique to every wearer. The DMS sole is a cornerstone of Dr. Martens construction. A two-tone PVC sole marked with our signature grooving and our unique tread. Our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed and reinforced with our signature welt stitch.
