Can you please share the opening measurement, where the split behind/beneath the knee starts? Thanks kindly~

@hempest thanks for your patience. The width of the shaft below the adjustable buckle area (that hits the back of the knee is about 14". The last hole of the strap extends the adjustable portion at/over the knee to 16" but it could be left open if need be (or altered if need be) for more room.
