Dolly Rockers vintage 70s made in England maxi dress

English label Dolly Rockers (designed by Samuel Sherman aka Sambo etc etc)dress is vaguely referencing bits of 15C-16C European Renaissance style as only the early 70s can: square neckline, high waist, sleeves that bloom from a slightly gathered sleeve head into full blown peasant beneath the velvet trim. Print is an Impressionistic dappled trees with boughs & brooks interspersed. fabric is a lightweight likely cotton/poly blend & the bodice is lined in purple acetate. zips up the back, elastic on sleeve ends is still stretchy, front placket with 3 decorative silver colored buttons at center front, mid sleeve & neckline trimmed with velvet. Bust is fairly low cut depending on cup size: C & more will be sharing a good amount. bust to 36.5,” high waist (at ribcage under where bra band sits) is 32,” hips to 54,” length is 52” in front gradually becoming 54” at center back. while this is labelled an English 14, English sizing is much smaller than US & vintage even more so; please refer to measurements for fit.
