Recommended Measurements - The most important measurement is the 'chest' circumference and the 'length' of the dog from the neckline to buttocks. This carrier is for medium sized dogs. The spacing between the front leg area and the back leg area is approx. 10 - 11". (you can measure the underarm (of the front leg) of dog to the middle of the back leg).. Next is the 'length' of the dog. This will fit 14" - 17" (measure from bottom of neck area to back buttock of dog). Most important is the 'chest' measurement and this will comfortably fit dogs with chest circumference of 16" - 19". Optimal weight would be approx. 13 - 19 lbs.
