I'm sorry to all my fellow posh family but this has to stop. For anyone, especially an active seller, I find it disrespectful to make a $3 offer on any item knowing posh mark charges a $2.95 commission fee <$15. Leaving the seller ONLY 5 CENT! If you want to save money then kindly ask the seller to discount the item by 10% so you can get discounted shipping or just make a reasonable offer. Its infuriating to get these extremely low and $3 offers! I will be calling out active sellers who do this.

urstyl @prettydrippy I totally agree! Just yesterday I got a $3 offer on a brand new Nickelodeon item listed with a reasonable price of $12. These offers don't really bother me when is a buyer that doesn't sell here. But it angers me to the core when is a seller just like us that certainly knows what our ending profit will be....

urstyl @prettydrippy To me that's a spit on my face. I automatically decline and block them. No need to have such buyers lingering in my closet with no respect for our hard work and earnings. And mind you, I am very welcoming of almost all offers, but a $3 offer I just can bare but feel offended.

echo801 A while back I had one like this. I tried to be nice and explain the fees as well as the fact that sellers source, wash, photograph, list, package, and ship the items. She got mad that I called her out lol. Now I just decline, block, and move on every time 🤗 Wishing you many frustration-free sales!! 💜

worldthriftshop @anawainio hello! yes very frustrating like o said especially when it comes from an active seller who knows how the commission work. but when you go to a person's closet at the very top right hand corner you will see 3 horizontal dots. click them and it will give you options. i think the block option is the last one.

echo801 @anawainio Well, hi there! From the app, tap on the person to get to their closet. Then tap on the 3 little dots in the upper right corner. Then tap BLOCK USER and confirm. Done and done.Don't let them frustrate you. Just keep being awesome 😉

worldthriftshop @echo801 yes! it can very easily be a full time job with all the work we put in. n to make only 5 cent just isnt worth it. now sometimes i will price items super low where im only making 1 or 2 bucks off it but thats more of a sales n marketing strategy i use to attract buyers. if someone sees a $4 item it will make buyers wonder what else is in ur closet for a good deal or make buyers want to bundle in order to get a discount. as a seller I'd be embarrassed to make a $3 offer lol

worldthriftshop @anawainio you are so welcome! you have a fantastic closet! brand name and brand new for an awesome price! some more advice is to always up price your items by around 20% but at the least 10% higher than the price you will accept to get the amount of money u want after commission fees. ex: i want to earn $5 for an item i will initially list it at $10 saying i will accept reasonable offers. this allows room for negotiation. if someone offers $7, i counter at $8 n everyone is happy 😁

bozzqween It's just like social media. People will try you, because they know no better. They will also do it because they are broke. Right when posh sends them money, even 3$, they wanna spend it lol, so they'll try it. Just ignore them, and the item will sell!!!

chaoscandy LOL I had nine of these offers the other day. my sister is an expert with these things counter offer the full price because if you decline it lowers your visibility on the site because of the algorithm.

worldthriftshop @capitalcandy i had someone keep offering me $3 over and over again, over the course of a week so i countered at $4 (i was only asking $6 to begin with) and they still didn't accept. i got so fed up that i blocked the person because i felt trolled and disrespected 🤦🏽‍♀️

worldthriftshop @marsharomanow its crazy! as much as we want to block them its better to just report them as harassing if they keep low balling over and over. i had one lady Literally offer me $3 on an item so many times and even when i countered at $4 she would counter at $3 so that is considered harassment. im told not to block or decline offers. just to keep countering at your asking price and let them know you are firm. its ridiculous how many active sellers will offer $3 for something and not bundle

urstyl @marsharomanow I still remember the first time this happened to me I was so upset for the rest of the day and even neglected my closet for a few days. But I realize is not worth it! And I completely understand your frustration. I told my husband that it wouldn't hurt me so bad if it came from a regular buyer... someone that doesn't know we are making .05 cents on a $3 offer. But seriously, a seller just like us should know better... SHAME ON THEM!

VERY well ..lol and for an active seller to insult me by only offering 3 bucks just blows my mind. mean while their closet is doing better than mine selling loads of lululemon, free people, luxury bags and Versace sunglasses but then want to offer me $3 on my $7 item (without bundling)! 🤬🤬 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

marsharomanow @urstyl it made me sad and very angry but I didn’t say anything, wouldn’t be worth it. I would tell my husband and he couldn’t believe those horrible offers. But now I just block them. Should it happen again, and it will, I will counter with my original price!

emisalesthings I get a lot of low offers from sellers. They know how Poshmark works and the fees are but they just keep on asking for low offers with discounted shipping. Unbelievable and annoying.
