Dior top by John Galliano - vintage SS07

Dior SS07 marked 10 yrs with Galliano at the helm. Unexpectedly he delivered a collection of restraint & understated chic, inspired by armor & Joan of Arc. This vintage silk top came from this. Made from 💯 silk in a cool grey hue, this piece is adorned across the bust w/ faceted stones, delicate braiding, & mesh tulle. Intricate & ornamental sure, but this bib was also armor in nature, tying back to Galliano’s martyred muse for SS07 10 years leading Dior, Galliano shocked all with a stunning & kinda minimal show (devoid of all the theatrics, at least). As evident by this archival top - which still feels just as chic today. Sizing: 36FR, US4 fabric has a lot of stretch so could probably accommodate larger sizes. Measurement estimates Bust 32.5” Waist 30” Length 24.5” Very good vintage condition. Light wear and some discoloration consistent with age.
