robinlmills Hi, I’m new to Poshmark and have the same bracelet. I’ve never sold jewelry yet, but just started posted some items today. I purchased this bracelet in St. Maarten in the late 1980’s. I’d like to ask you a few questions off line, can I email you privately? Thanks

victoria021770 @robinlmills I am ok with it / I don’t think it’s against Poshmark policy though I’m not sure. I guess if both parties agree to it, then it’s ok?

robinlmills @victoria021770 I’m RobinLMills@yahoo.com I just didn’t want to name the places and prices for everyone to see, but since I’m new, I wanted advice from someone who has done it.

robinlmills I bought it so long ago, I’m not sure how to price it. Did you get an appraisal? I’m not sure how to list since I see such big differences in prices. I know mine is diamond and ruby, all individually cut,

victoria021770 @robinlmills hi sorry for delay - work is very hectic these days. Anyway how I price my items is, I factor in the cost if the previous metal (in this case, gold) & cost of the stones (again in this case, diamonds & rubies). I also look at quality of item - is it still fairly new or if used, does it show minimal signs of wear?

victoria021770 @robinlmills I take all of these factors & go with a price point at first - then over time, I readjust $ as necessary- bc as u point pit, $ points are a wide range. Bear in mind, the 20% Poshmark takes as a fee. And yes, I am planning to get an appraisal, so if possible, def you should do that!

victoria021770 @robinlmills I def think listing a price for items like this is really up to the seller - you may feel it’s worth more than what u have it listed, but buyers may not agree. No matter what, u should set some ground rules for yourself - as in for this item, my lowest is.... etc etc. for this item, I don’t care if I get x amount & so on and so forth. Hope this makes sense? Lmk!

robinlmills @victoria021770 thanks so much for your help. It was one of the first real pieces I ever purchased for myself, so it has sentimental attachment, which doesn’t translate to $, lol. I just haven’t worn it in years and I have always preferred silver/white gold. Had my tennis bracelet dipped, but red and silver doesn’t work for me. Good luck with selling, it is a very good price you have it listed for.

robinlmills Thanks. I also don’t know what it means when someone has an item posted and it says “not for sale”...I’ve seen it in several people’s closet...I mean, I know what it means, but why use that and post it...or does it mean it’s a temporary thing. I appreciate your help, I’m just really starting to take listing seriously now...and want to be god at it.

victoria021770 @delgadodelgado1 hi I don’t know the total carat weight. I am planning to get an appraisal but it may not be for a week or so. As soon as I get it though, I will plan to post photo of it. It’s prolly best to list this as not for sale until I do so, so I apologize 😔. But I can tag you when I have appraisal posted if you would like ?

victoria021770 @delgadodelgado1 YW & no worries! I won’t have time this week as very busy with work 😔 and I have not been able to find a trustworthy appraisal site yet but I need to have it done ✅

victoria021770 @delgadodelgado1 hi ok the appraisal is done - the value of this bracelet is over 2 thousand dollars. I am only going to show photo of appraisal on here if you (or another potential buyer) is very interested - otherwise, due to PM’s 20% fee, I will sell it elsewhere. Please lmk your thoughts & TY!

delgadodelgado1 @victoria021770 how great that you got the appraisal prior to selling!!! For me, it is about out of my budget but I wish you the best of luck!!!!

victoria021770
victoria021770 @delgadodelgado1 yes I’m so sorry but I kind of thought it was worth more - the weight of the gold alone plus how perfect the diamonds & rubies are - sort of felt I had it underpriced. Anyway TY for your well wishes! 💕♥️💕
