Are these true to size in the 9? Is the size 9 an 8-8.5 UK/ 42 EU? Also, how is the width on these? Narrow or a medium fit?

@herbertmcdonald they were constructed with US sizing 9 from the factory and are medium width ordered. Personal opinion is that the factory medium is a slightly narrow last.
