disneygurl2u @melbee5 I cannot find out anything about it either. I just know it is hand painted on burnt velvet silk. It is quite beautiful.

disneygurl2u @melbee5 I did find one other item from this designer for sale when I looked up the designer’s name but it was a small neck scarf of I recall that had sold but no information about it was listed.

disneygurl2u Perhaps the designer’s name was misspelled?

sidstation @melbee5 Robin DeVick was a fabric designer starting in the 80's. She made a lot of fabric designs for famous people and bedding for one of the big stores in New York. She died early of cancer, but some of us still collect her pieces, which is how I found your comment! I'm still looking for some items, but mostly her bags and bedding. This scarf would have sold for about $400.

melbee5 @sidstation very cool, thank you! I have a purple/gold scarf (maybe?) with tassels but I have not yet posted it. Unfortunately my kitten got to one of the tassels 😭

sidstation @melbee5 LOL! Between moths and a new kitten myself, I have a lot of items that are now worth nothing. I thought my cashmere would be safe in my storage unit, but no..... I'd still post it but let know there is a flaw.

disneygurl2u @sidstation thank you so much for informing me about the designer. I really appreciate it by the way. My sweetie has a cat. I have to keep any nice items away from her as she is so curious! 🐈

jilljansen305 @sidstation Robin De Vick was a very close friend of mine in Seattle. In fact I use to help her paint fabric in her studio. She was a true legend and I miss her dearly. She made so many beautiful scarves, bedding, clothes…

jilljansen305
jilljansen305 @disneygurl2u She passed away from brain cancer in 2010. She went to Highline High School and then went onto Central Washington University to study art. She was very well known in the Seattle art scene in the 90’s and early 2000’s. She got married to a Seattle guy and then they moved to LA. She lived and worked out of a very cool warehouse/ studio near pioneer square in Seattle. She made great pasta and Salad Nicole’s.

disneygurl2u @jilljansen305 thank you so much for the bit of history on her. Robin seemed to be a wonderful person. I would have loved to met her! I got to know Laurel Burch who was famous for her cat art, purses and jewelry. I also once met Bev Doolittle, the Subliminal nature artist.
