Department 56 Gate House, Dickens Christmas Village accessory from 1992. Very beautiful hand-painted porcelain figurine. The Gate House is a non-lighted house about the size of Childe Pond and was sold in 1992 ONLY as an event piece at dealer open houses. A gate house is a house beside or over a gateway used as a porter's lodge, or a house at or over a gate used as the keeper's quarters or a fortification. Size: 6 1/2" tall, 3 1/4" wide and 5 1/4" deep Village accessories enhance the unique charm of the lighted pieces in any display. The Gate House is in good condition for being over 30 years old and has beautiful artwork, colors and design, each piece is properly marked on the bottom of the piece, includes original box and sleeve (sleeve has wear).
