The Chaaya Maxi dress is hand block printed by artisans in Jaipur, India. Features a V neckline and a skirt of six gently gathered tiers, very twirly and romantic. This print features the traditional Buti flower print. Buti means single flower. As you can see in the photo, the fabric allows light through, although it feels sturdy to the hand. I would wear this over a slip for the skirt, but the bodice is plenty demure. The website describes this color as eggplant, and while it's a warm brown, it does lean slightly purple. The photos seem accurate on my monitor for the actual color. Note that this dress does not have pockets.
