Dahl Jensen Copenhagen Denmark PEKINGESE Puppy Dog Porcelain FIgurine 1134, 3.2'' Tall Excellent like new condition. Jens Peter Dahl-Jensen (1874-1960) is a well known name among porcelain collectors. He worked for Bing & Grondahl and then began his own company in 1925. The factory closed in 1985. His work is hard paste porcelain and his decoration evokes colors very much in the style of porcelain produced in Denmark. His work is still sought after by collectors today. This is the Dahl Jensen Pekingese puppy model 1134. It is of first quality (no scratch through the hallmark). The puppy is presented in such an unusual pose (I call him the "punched-out Pekingese")! Such lovely decoration and modeling, and a piece that makes you smile too. Measures 3" tall by 3 1/8" wide.
