**fabric only for DIY** Brand new $120 blanket throw and high quality $40/yard fur for center back piece. I made the coat last year (shown) and bought these to make an even better higher quality version this year. The center back piece scale effect can be made with a man's T trimmer (often available at Marshalls for $15). Shown: my first attempt. I had to paint the reverse of that fabric and pen the top. This blanket takes care of all of the texture and pattern without having to do it by hand. For efficiency, I used a thrift store coat for shape, added stiff webbing for the shoulders, and pinned directly to it.

hello is this the whole coat that looks like the Queen of Dragons coat that she wore on Game of Thrones

@margiedohnke it is the fabric to make your own coat. The second photo is the coat I made using the exact same center fur. The body was a lower-quality fur than this, which I purchased to make a second higher-quality coat. I ran out of time.

@margiedohnke I sold it quite awhile ago, to a Hollywood costume designer.

@paigegamble no time -- That's why I never got around to using these materials. I do also have two Daenerys wigs I just found and will be listing.

@retroredhead Hi there! I’m considering purchasing this fabric but I was curious if you had any of the sewing patterns or anything that you used when making your original coat?
Sep 08Reply

retroredhead
@brischlads I didn’t have any patterns — just made it up as I went. I used a coat I already had as the base, and bought some stiff facing for shape and support of the flared shoulders.
