roxyposh573 @451abby - Hi Zoey, sorry I just saw your question - it comes with a battery BUT Dyson cordless vacuum batteries need replacing because their ability to hold a charge degrades over time with use and age. Eventually, the battery's runtime diminishes, and it may display error codes like flashing lights, indicating it's time for a replacement. I'm selling mine BUT you or whomever purchases this item will need to purchase a new battery for it on your / their own.
