DYNASTY Vintage 17 Jewels Jump Hour Swiss Watch Black Patent Leather Band This one of the coolest, unique, sublime designed watches I have ever seen. The only one that comes close is the Movado Museum watch (you know the one, very plain) This is from the early 1960's, the back says PAT. PEND so I think it's one of the early models. I see others elsewhere that have a US patent number. Not running at this time so you will want to take to a watchmaker to have oiled and "tuned up" Watchband is still functional, you will want to dress the leather as it is a tad stiff the distance from the loosest hole to the buckle measures 7" but because the watchband begins at the top of the watch, rather than the middle or bottom, a few millimeters of length is lost. My wrist measures 6.75" and I cannot wear it, a tad too small. All the others I see are called men's watches, but I am not sure about this one, just seems too short of a watch band to be a men's. I'm pretty sure the band is original; it matches the others I've seen. The watch itself is Unisex, will look great on anyone. Just know that your wrist must be smaller than mine to use this band. Feel free to ask questions, I'll try to answer if I can. Watches with a jump hour complication have an hour hand that does not slowly sweep between the hours. Instead, it points exactly at the current hour and jumps to the next hour as soon as the 60th minute of the current hour is over. bin0224

asit6 Hi! Are you certain this is still working with some service?

nanasjewelbox @asit6 am I certain that the watch will run? Is that what you’re asking?

asit6 Yes. It’s says not running at this time, is it just in need for a battery, and service as an old watch might, or do you know if it needs more than that?

nanasjewelbox @asit6 That is difficult to ascertain without opening it up, and I am not a watchmaker, but when I worked at a jewelry store we often sent watches out and they came back having had only a battery and a little oil to make them run well. This watch shows no outside damage, so I think this may only need that as well. But I can make no guarantees. I hope my thoughts are helpful.

nanasjewelbox @asit6 I thought I would mention that this watch does not take a battery, there is no mention of it anywhere on the watch so it is a mechanical watch, no battery needed. So just a cleaning and oiling by a watchmaker should get it going.
