@kimbo24312 the top of the boot shaft measures at 7 1/2 inches and at the ankle it’s 5 1/2 inches. Also, at the top there is an elastic gusset.

@msteach09 I added a couple more pictures I hope that helps. I I think I saw the area that you were talking about and I took a video. It’s not a water mark, just a slight difference in the suede. I only wore them twice on dry days in California. If you purchase them and are not satisfied with them I will gave you a full refund.
