For Your Consideration: ITEM: DOROTHY & COWARDLY LION—Vintage Wizard of OZ Upside-Down (2-in-1) Handmade, Unbranded Folk Art—1970s?**—Unique?—VG+ Condition—RARE* *RARITY NOTE: As of this listing (23 June 2025): We could not find a matching copy online of this Wizard of Oz double-doll. We checked the obvious reselling platforms & did a “lens” search. (There are also no tags of any kind on it.) That’s why we believe it to be rare, if not one-of-a-kind. (Indisputably, the doll is CHARMING.) **AGING NOTE: The materials used to construct this double-doll (the yarn thread, the felt, the cloth) reminded us, in look & feel, of the materials our own Mom used when making stuffed animals in the 1970s (though this doll is not from her—butg that’s why we guess the doll was made then). Just FYI. BRAND: Unbranded STYLE: Upside-down doll, featuring Dorothy & the Cowardly Lion of WIZARD OF OZ renown SIZE: Length: 12.5 inches (from the top of Dorothy’s head to the top of the Cowardly Lion’s head); Width (widest area—Dorothy’s outstretched arms: 10 inches) FABRIC: No fabric tag. But the bodies & clothes seem to be made of cotton with yarn & felt & thread detailing COLOR: Dorothy has brown hair, brown eyes, & red lips & is wearing a blue-and-white gingham dress & a white apron. The Cowardly Lion is yellow with black eyes, black nose, & black whiskers. CONDITION: VERY GOOD PLUS. Bright & clean. Looks only lightly used. With no flagrant flaws: no holes, no stains, no rips, no tears, etc
