Up for sale is this rare pastel portrait by the celebrated American illustrator and cartoonist Dick Briefer. 10"W x 13L" signed and dated1968.Original art in multi-colored pastel hues. Dick Briefer (1915-1980) is a celebrated American illustrator and cartoonist and was the creator of The Monster of Frankenstein Horror Comics. This is a portrait of me done in his studio in Hollywood, Florida when we moved to Hollywood. The entire paper it is on measures 17.5” X 12.75” and there is a small tear in the top left. The bottom right shows where he tested colors that were used. Those extra edges are meant to go behind a mat. Will need a mat and frame.
